8th graders tested over their first literature unit, "Growing Up," earlier this week. We have just begun a "Dark Side" short story unit featuring works by Edgar Allan Poe. An Edgar Allan Poe impersonator/performer will be presenting his work and life history to the students Friday, September 24th at 1:45. You are welcome to join!
Also, the students will be taking an essay topic they've brainstormed from Religion and working on the writing process in class for revising and editing purposes. We will be reviewing writing traits and conventions.
