The 8th graders are halfway through the classic novel, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. For a challenging book, they have done very well on daily quizzes and class discussion. They completed a Part I test this week and have been studying different vocabulary words from the novel which they are tested on each Thursday of this month. In addition to knowing the meaning of the words, the students must also spell them correctly.
We are moving through this novel at a rapid base because at the end of the month on Tuesday, January 31st, the students will be viewing the play, To Kill a Mockingbird, at the Des Moines Playhouse. I am so excited for this experience! Field trip forms will be going home next week.
