Religion / Faith Formation

Dear Parents:

Over the course of the last few weeks students discussed some main points in apologetics.  They have learned some ways to teach others about our faith.  Students role played dialogues to help them put to words what we believe.  For you to brush up on our Catholic teaching in order to explain it to others, consider exploring: http://www.catholicscomehome.org/

We also began discussing decision making and morality. Students are reading the popular Catholic book Left to Tell, which is about a woman's spirituality during the Rwandan Genocide.  We are using elements of morality and conscience formation to evaluate the storyline of text.  This powerful and life-changing story allows the students to see how making decisions and living spirituality can inspire others to do what is good and holy.  Please ask your children about the book.
